Thorlabs' Motorized Translation Stages offer precise, electronically controlled linear motion along a specific axis. The MT1-Z9 Single-Axis Stage provides 12 mm (0.47") of travel along one axis, while the MT3-Z9 Three-Axis Stage offers motion in three dimensions, composed of three MT1-Z9 stages connected with an MT401 Base Plate and an MT402 Right-Angle Bracket. Each stage features a 1.00" x 1.00" (25.0 mm x 25.0 mm) tapped hole matrix with seven 1/4"-20 (M6) taps for standard optomechanics compatibility. The moving platform includes holes for alignment pins, ensuring orthogonality when stacked or connected to accessories. The stages support horizontal loads of 20 lbs (9 kg) and vertical loads of 4.4 lbs (2.0 kg) when the motor pushes down, or 10 lbs (4.5 kg) when pushing up, thanks to the actuator's inline 67.49:1 planetary gear head. The stages are equipped with hardened steel linear bearings for accurate motion and durability.
