Mayco Foundations Series FN-031 Corn Flower Blue Opaque Gloss Glaze produces a beautiful, smooth, high-gloss corn flower blue finish at Cone 06; it breaks over texture but maintains its color at Cone 6. Apply 2-3 coats to Cone 04 bisque, allowing glaze to dry between coats, then fire to Cone 06/05 or higher. Alternatively, apply 2-3 coats to wet/unfired or leather-hard clay, leaving an area like the back or bottom unglazed to allow for outgassing during firing, then fire to Cone 04 when clay is bone dry. Shake glaze for 5-6 seconds before use. Colors fire to a high-gloss finish and do not need to be clear glazed. 16 oz. (473 mL) jar. An essential glaze building block!
